About me
Hi, I'm Jess! I am a communications and public relations professional with many years of experience in both private and public organizations. My career journey has been marked by a passion for storytelling, building positive relationships and effectively managing communication strategies.
Throughout my career, I have navigated diverse industries including technology, health care, and government sectors. In my roles, I have led numerous successful campaigns, leveraging expertise in executive communication, content development, process improvement and crisis communication. I possess a strong understanding of digital platforms and utilize them to amplify brand messaging and engage with target audiences effectively. I currently serve on the executive board of directors for IABC London as the chapter's Vice President.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University and a postgraduate certificate in public relations from Humber College. In 2020, I was honoured with the CPRS Toronto Public Relations Professional of the Year Award, recognizing my contributions to the field. In 2024, alongside my colleagues, I received an Award of Merit from IABC London and a Silver Leaf Award from IABC Canada East Region for London Health Sciences Centre's Strategic Plan. Beyond my work in communications, I am a certified personal training specialist, group fitness instructor and certified yoga teacher.
When I'm not exercising or writing, you can find me reading, travelling, or spending quality time with family and friends.
And yes, I am in fact a Gemini!
